knurling operation on lathe machine

Knurling is the activity of creating a straight-lined, jewel-molded example or cross-lined design on a barrel-shaped outer surface by squeezing a device called a knurling instrument. Knurling is definitely not a cutting activity yet it is a framing activity. Knurling is finished at a sluggish shaft speed (1/3 the turning speed).
